Reparo
by Martín Churba and Guillermo Cameron Mac Lean
In the oasis of silence within the hectic city center on Tres Sargentos Street, there is a passage between brick towers from 1900 and mirrored towers from the 21st century. Reparo is the experience of walking uphill, mesmerized by the skies and their fragments, bridging art and architecture. It serves as a shelter from the sun that gathers and protects us, or a refuge from the wind that simply disperses into the sky. This unique place emerges from the intersections of a network that supports a delicate framework, created entirely from discarded and recycled materials. In collaboration with urban plastic collectors and the synergy between Martin’s textile art and Guillermo’s regenerative mechanics, Reparo takes both straight and winding paths. It resides in the space carved by shadows in the sky and dances with the wind.
